Installation Guidelines

HS Armor Ballistic Resistant Panels are designed to be used as a reinforcement for buildings. Typical applications are for walls, partitions, floors and ceilings but they can be utilized in various construction applications.

Fabrication of stock panels to size is easily accomplished with common carpentry tools. Cutting of the HS Armor panels can be done with a circular or reciprocating saw equipped with a diamond abrasive blade. Drilling can be done with titanium drill bits.

One of the most important things to consider when installing HS Armor is to maximize the panel layout to utilize the largest panels possible. By using the largest panels possible you will minimize the number of panel seams. Every seam between panels must be reinforced with a 4" wide batten strip to prevent the chance of a projectile penetrating the seam between the panels.

As shown in the pictures below, everywhere two panels meet, you must reinforce the seam by using a 4" batten strip.
